Overview
BIM-driven renovation of a 200-room resort achieving LEED Gold certification through energy efficiency upgrades and sustainable design.
The Challenge
The 200-room resort was built in the 1990s and had outdated HVAC systems, single-pane windows, and no water management strategy. The ownership group wanted to attract eco-conscious travellers and reduce operational costs while achieving a recognized green certification.
Our Solution
We conducted a complete energy audit and created a digital twin using BIM to model retrofit scenarios. Upgrades included high-efficiency VRF HVAC systems, smart lighting with occupancy sensors, low-flow fixtures, rainwater harvesting, and a 120 kW rooftop solar array. We managed the entire LEED documentation and submission process.
